Beer Goggled!

There are certain things that end up making you the subject of ridicule when you attempt to photograph them. This is one of them. The first time I spotted the cool blue aura around the stacked bottles, I wasn’t carrying my camera. The second time, I was carrying my camera, but the beers were missing. Well, I went out and bought them.

Serenity

I had been to Bylakuppe in Coorg at least five times before this one. And each time I stepped into the monastery, a sense of calm had descended on me. This time was no different. To say the three giant golden figures overwhelmed me every time I saw them would be a gross understatement. I haven’t been able to explain the phenomenon till date, but it sure does feel good. After staying hypnotised for at least 7 seconds, I regained my composure to capture this one.

Sanchi - A lesson for every fussy kid

I have never been a huge fan of little kids. But I guess my camera does not exactly share my dislike. An absolute anti-thesis of everything I dislike about kids, Sanchi left me with little choice but to adore her. By the end of the session, I was spoilt for choice with the number of snaps she left me with. But with great difficulty, and I mean it, I chose this one.

The face that stopped a hundred cars...

Well maybe not 100, but enough to interrupt our ride to Ooty by a good 30 minutes. I had missed out on shots of our national bird on a couple of previous occasions. This time, I wouldn’t let it pass me by. As we reached Mudumalai, a peacock infested area, I made my friend stop the car. And this beauty decided to give me a glimpse or two.

When the sun forgot to set...

Goa - one of the most picturesque of places on Earth. And there I was, after three days, with not a single photograph worth mentioning in a gathering of more than two. I could have blamed it on my handicap - thanks to a drunken ride that led to my face being introduced to the uneven road. I walked hopelessly across the beaches, feeling empty, and watching the sun as it sympathetically sank into the horizon. And along came a pretty British girl who decided to give a few guys thrice her age, a lesson in football.

The bottle that ended the wait...

Don't we all have a few pictures, certain frames, lined up in our heads even before we have seen them? The ones we wait for? Giving them time to happen? Patiently awaiting the picture to beckon, before actually capturing it? Well, this is one of them. It came to life four months after it was conceived.

I pray for thee...

Cemeteries have always fascinated me. It is probably the serenity. I have often gotten into trouble due to my untimely visits, as not many people understand this weird fascination. Some have even complained of nightmares after accompanying on my ventures. This angel however, looks incapable of turning any dream bad.
